ROME (LUX)
Luxembourg-born singer-songwriter Jerome Reuter founded his multilingual project ROME (the name stems from the abridged version of his first name) in 2005 and has since created an authoritative body of work encompassing at least 17 studio albums and numerous other official releases. Reuter's compelling brand of Dark Folk merges various musical influences from Post-Punk to Chanson, from Industrial to Synth Wave. Lyrically inspired by world literature from Burroughs to Brecht, Celine to Cioran, from Hesse to Jünger; Reuter’s detailed, well-researched, yet particularly accessible concept albums combine his interest in history, philosophy and the arts in a most unique way.
ZUGZWANG (ITA)
Gli ZUGZWANG sono un duo neofolk italiano, fondato a Firenze nel 2019 dal cantante e
polistrumentista Vrolok LaVey (Nachtmahr) e dal pianista, produttore ed arrangiatore
Lorenzo Pinto (Dollaro D’Onore).
Nel 2022 esce il loro debut album “Under The Shade Of The Leaves” sotto l’etichetta Lichterklang.
L’immaginario degli ZUZGWANG ruota attorno alla filosofia, la letteratura, l’analisi della condizione umana nel mondo moderno, risultante in una narrazione amara e potente, dove la malinconia si evolve naturalmente in epicità.
Il connubio di elementi folkloristici, elettrici, sentori Western ed arrangiamenti cinematici
determina il loro stile evocativo, tra il Neofolk classico e Nick cave, tra Wagner e Morricone: raffinato ma accessibile, intimo ed intenso come la colonna sonora di un viaggio interiore.
